I was stressed and cranky when I got home. I definitely wanted to reach for something like chocolate, or order a pizza just to simplify my evening, but I didn't. I only have a few more days to go on this whole 30 journey. I really didn't want something out of my control to be an excuse for ruining my progress.
Here's what I ate:
Breakfast: this was recommended by a friend, and it was DELICIOUS. Sweet potato, with banana slices, almond butter, and coconut flakes. I had already baked the potato last night, so this morning I added the other ingredients and stuck it in the oven for about 10 minutes. It was really good, especially on a cold morning.
Lunch: salad from a local Italian deli, with lettuce, cucumber, roasted red peppers, marinated artichokes, and grilled chicken.
Dinner: leftover veggies, roasted broccoli, cauliflower, and butternut squash. I wasn't very hungry tonight, but instead of ruining my whole 30, which I was really tempted to do out of stress, I just made it a veggie dinner. It was very good and comforting, especially with the butternut squash.
Tomorrow is Friday! I'm hoping for a better day and a great start to my weekend :)
